Addresscloud launches CII accredited training for clients

Geo-coding and property intelligence expert Addresscloud has launched a new hands-on training programme, which has been accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and is designed to educate the market on the latest in address-mapping and peril scoring technologies. This course aims to enhance delegate’s understanding of risk and help them to better assess and manage future risk through a changing climate.

CII CPD accreditation provides external recognition of the quality of the training the Addresscloud ‘Geographic Risk for Underwriters’ learning programme delivers, while participants have the assurance that the program meets industry-level best practice standards.

The CII accredited programme is delivered in partnership with global leader in flood risk management, JBA Risk Management, as well as subsidence experts MapleSky.

The training includes a hands-on demonstration from an Ordnance Survey surveyor, and educational talks on flood and subsidence modelling, how addresses are allocated, and the critical difference between postcode and building level risk. The sessions conclude with a panel discussion on upcoming developments, the impact of climate change, and embracing AI in the insurance industry.

Mark Varley, Founder and CEO at Addresscloud commented:

“We’re delighted to gain CII accreditation for this important programme, it demonstrates the value we place upon real-world education and enabling underwriters to harness smarter risk decisions based on data.

Our new training course takes our insurer customers to the heart of the risk - the address. Educating them on how that address is established and how to assess the associated perils.”

Ogden Hodge from CII Accreditation Services added:

“The CII recognises the need to adapt training to the rapidly evolving world of risk, to assist our members’ continuing professional development. We’re pleased to support companies like Addresscloud, who are finding new ways to engage underwriters and help them to make more informed and empathic risk decisions to better service clients and customers.”
